phones or any other third-party audio or video calling apps. Follow these steps
to set it up:
- Open the
Phone app and tap the three-dot button in the top right corner, then
select "Settings."
- Scroll down
to the "Call Assist" section, find the "Live
Translate" option, click on it, and agree to Samsung's terms of
service.
- To change
the language for your own speech during calls, download additional
languages if needed, and click on the "Language" option under
"Me" in the "Settings" section.
Language Options and Customizations
Live Translate currently supports
specific languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese,
Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Customize the
experience further by muting the other person's voice, muting your voice, or selecting
a specific voice gender and adjusting the speed of the translated words.
Utilizing Live Translate During Calls
After setting up Live Translate,
initiate a call with someone using a Samsung phone. Before the call, click on
the "Call Assist" button and choose "Live Translate." If
you haven't chosen a specific language for the contact, select it from the
"Language" option in the "Other person" section. Once the
call begins, the other person will hear a translation prompt, and you can start
speaking as usual.
Slide to the right to return to
the main options in the Phone app or press the red button to end the call.
